Marcon Metalfab Purchases New 3D Structural Laser

Marcon Metalfab is proud to announce the acquisition of a new, high–precision 3D structural laser.

Once it is up and running in Spring 2014, the laser will be one of the fastest of its kind in Western Canada.

Marcon’s new tool will automatically handle, cut and tap a wide variety of structural shapes including round, square and rectangular tube and pipe of up to 16 inches in diameter. The machine will also process channels and beams of over ¾ inches in thickness, and up to 40 feet in length.

According to Ari Burstein, Owner and President of Marcon Metalfab, “not only will this investment allow us to process steel materials more efficiently, it will allow us to do so with a greater degree of precision. For clients in the transportation, building, utilities and other sectors, this investment will translate into better quality products at more competitive prices”.
