Structure Details
Brewery District represents the reclamation and renewal of the famed Labbatt’s site in New Westminster. Located as the geographic centre of Metro Vancouver, the Brewery District is a cluster of four residential high-rises, punctuated by a 32-storey tower on a high-point of the property adjacent to the Royal Columbian Hospital. The development features modern amenities and design, with influences from a celebrated brewing legacy.
Project Highlights

Marcon was selected to supply structural and architectural materials for all buildings on the site, four buildings in total to date.

Steel bubble motifs are located across the property as an architectural ode to the site’s brewing history, including panels that scale the height of all four towers. Installation of each art panel required custom rigging.

A 20-foot Brewery District sign was created and installed on the fascia of the aboveground parkade that runs parallel to the busy Columbia Street.

The development has been awarded multiple Urban Development Institute (UDI) Awards of Excellence as phases have been completed since the start of 2012. Brewery District is acknowledged as one of the premier master-planned communities in the Metro Vancouver area.
