Structure Details

Sun Towers is a pair of two cosmopolitan-styled residential towers that are marked as Metrotown’s vision for downtown sophistication. The 41-storey focal point of the property features a 6-storey podium and skyward-reaching architectural features that heighten the structure’s profile as one of Burnaby’s tallest skyscrapers. The buildings will have 588 residential units, mixed-use space, and an underground parkade.

Project Highlights

  • Metro-Can Construction commissioned Marcon to supply all miscellaneous metal and structural steel comprising canopies, rooftop fixtures, parapet steel, ladders, and elevator beams.

  • The ground-level canopies consist of approximately 450-feet of steel.

  • Marcon fabricated nearly 100,000-lbs of steel for the rooftop area, including handrails, guardrails, and walkways.
