Rainbow Crows is a striking sculptural installation that merges bold engineering with vibrant artistic expression.

Designed, built, and engineered by our team, the piece features towering steel posts anchoring the work with strength and presence.

Delicately integrated among these are sculpted leaves crafted from dichroic film, catching the light and casting colorful reflections that shift with the sun, painting the ground in ever-changing hues.

At the heart of the sculpture, two hand-sculpted and meticulously painted crows serve as guardians of the piece—symbols of resilience, transformation, and the power of storytelling.

The work stands as both a technical feat and a poetic gesture, inviting viewers to engage with color, movement, and meaning.

Judy Chartrand is a Cree Artist based in Vancouver, renowned for her ceramics and installations that utilize repurposed materials to challenge ignorance and satirize privilege. In June 2024, she was named a finalist for the Sobey Art Award, which honors contemporary visual artists in Canada.
